Finally, a small "technical" note: in the event that, using the tools you find reported in this tutorial, the voice in the recorded calls should be excessively low, you can try to remedy the problem by exporting the recordings to the computer and amplifying the volume with programs for audio editing, such as Audacity or the others that you find reported in my guide on the subject.

ATTENTION: Google has applied severe restrictions to Android 10 and later which prevent most call recording apps from working. If, therefore, you are using a very recent version of Android, take into account that you may have many difficulties in finding working apps for your device.
Cube Call Recorder ACR
Cube Call Recorder ACR is an app for recording calls on Android that is highly rated, also because it is one of the few compatible with Android 10 and later (although actual compatibility may vary from device to device). It allows you to record “common” phone calls and those made with messaging / VoIP applications. It's free as a basic feature, but comes with in-app purchases to unlock advanced features like cloud backup of conversations.
You can download the app from the Play Store or from alternative stores (if you have a device without Google services). At the first start, salta the initial presentation, accepts the conditions of use e grant permissions necessary, by pressing the appropriate button and moving the levers that are proposed to you on ON. On some devices it is also proposed to disable the functions of energy saving, which may prevent the app from automatically launching.
After the preliminary stages, you have to select the source from which you want to capture the audio, for example phone, WhatsApp, Zoom. Once this is done, press the ☰ button, access the menu dedicated to Recordings (Recordings) and activate the function automatic call recording, by activating the relative lever (Autostart recording).
Now, on the next call made or received, the recording will start automatically and you will see the Cube Call Recorder ACR widget. When finished, you can listen to the call by going to the section Timeline of the app.
If the other party's volume is too low, try setting up an alternative recording method from the menu ☰> Recording / Recording> Phone recording audio source.
RMC: Android Call Recorder
Another one app to record phone calls which I advise you to consider is RMC: Android Call Recorder. It is a no-cost solution that works on many models of Android smartphones with Android 9.x or earlier. On some devices it may not be able to offer excellent recording quality, especially as regards what your interlocutor says.
If you want to download and install the app on your device, access the relevant section of the Play Store and tap the button Install. If you are using a device on which the Play Store is not available, you can download it through an alternative store. Then, start the application by selecting the relevant one icon which was added to the Home Screen and / or al drawer.
Now that you see the main screen of RMC: Android Call Recorder, grant the app i permits necessary to work correctly, by tapping on the appropriate items that you see appear on the display, then press the button with the three lines horizontally located at the top left, select the item Settings from the menu that opens on the left and press on the wording Recording.
Then make sure that it appears check the box Activate Service (otherwise you provide). From now on RMC: Android Call Recorder will record all the calls that your mobile phone will make or receive without you having to do anything else, which is why it is also fully included among the app to record phone calls automatically.
When you want, you can listen to the call recordings by going to the section Unorganized by RMC: Android Call Recorder of the app, selecting the name of the registration you are interested in and pressing the button Play in the menu that opens. Through the same menu you can also archive the recordings in the list of the most important ones, rename them, share them and delete them.

It is free, but offers in-app purchases (at a cost of € 4,89) to unlock additional functions.
- ACR call recorder - is one of the most popular apps in the Play Store to record incoming and outgoing calls on Android phones. You can record a phone call manually or automatically. Furthermore, the recordings can be password protected and can be deleted automatically after a certain period of time. It's free, but offers in-app purchases (at a base cost of 69 cents) to unlock additional features.
- Call recorder - is another valid solution to record phone calls on Android devices and which also allows you to add notes and share calls easily. Note that it integrates seamlessly with leading cloud storage services and automatically overwrites old conversations not marked as important. It is completely free of charge, so it fully falls into the category of app to record phone calls for free.
App to record iPhone phone calls
Let's now move on to the iOS side and let's find out, therefore, which are the best app to record iPhone phone calls currently available. You will find them reported below. Find the one you think will do the most for you and download it now.
TapeACall
Do you use an iPhone and would like to understand which apps to record phone calls you can turn to? So, for starters, I advise you to put it to the test TapeACall. It is an application that uses the operator conference service to record both incoming and outgoing calls. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that, according to what the app developer himself claims, TapeACall is not supported by Vodafone, so it may not work properly with this provider's lines. Also keep in mind that the app download is free and can be used at no cost for only 7 days, after which, in order to continue using it, you need to subscribe to the appropriate subscription (at the basic cost of 4,99 euros / month).
To download and install the application on your device, go to the relevant section of the App Store, press the button Get, quindi quello Install and authorizes the procedure via Face ID, touch ID o password dell'ID Apple. Next, start the app by selecting the app icon which was added to the Home Screen e / o alla App library.
Now that you see the main screen of the application, click on the button I agree and verify your line by entering the your mobile number in the appropriate field, by pressing the button NEXT, waiting for the receipt of an SMS with the verification code necessary to use TapeACall, typing it in the appropriate text field and tapping the button Continue.
After completing the above steps, click on the button Registration begins, in order to start the app trial. Then, select the country of your interest from the list displayed and authorize the app to send you notifications and access your contacts, by moving to ON the switches next to the items Consenti notified e Access your contacts. Then start the tutorial that explains the operation of the app, by tapping on the button Play placed at the bottom.
At this point, you can move on to recording outgoing calls. To do this, press on pulsating circolare rosso located in the center of the main TapeACall screen, select the number next to the wording Call attached to the menu that has opened, touch the button another call you see on the phone call screen and type the phone number of the person you want to contact, by going to the section Keypad screen currently displayed or by selecting it from the list in the section Contacts. Once the call has started, wait for the user to answer and then press the button merge.
If, on the other hand, it is your intention to record an incoming call, all you have to do is answer it, go to the TapeACall screen and press on pulsating circolare rosso located in the center of the display. Wait for the call to be sent to the TapeACall recording service and then press the button merge.
When you deem it necessary, you can listen to the recorded calls by pressing the button Play that you find in the main screen of TapeACall and selecting the phone call of your interest from the proposed list.
REKK
Another great application that you can consider using on iPhone to record your phone calls is REKK. This solution also allows you to record incoming and outgoing calls, saving them automatically. It is very easy to use, has a nice user interface and, what's more, transcribes the recordings. However, it requires your carrier to support three-way calling to work. It is free to download, but to work it requires a subscription (with costs starting from 4,99 euros / week).
To use it, after making the download for free and l 'installation from the relevant section of the App Store, start it, tap the button Start using REKK found on the main REKK screen.
At this point, type the your phone number in the field provided (check in advance that the correct international prefix is selected in the adjacent drop-down menu, otherwise you will provide) and choose whether to receive the code to verify your number by SMS or by phone, by tapping on the appropriate button. Then, type the code you just obtained in the field provided and press the button Continue.
Then grant the i permits necessary to access the phone book and to be able to send you notifications, then press the button "X" at the top left to close the screen with the app user manual.
At this point, if you want to record an outgoing call, you must proceed as follows: tap the button Keyboard located on the main REKK screen and type in the phone number of your interest or press the button Contacts and select a contact from the address book. Then, tap the button OK, tap the number located next to the item Call in the menu that opens, select the notification that appears at the top of the display, select the other number displayed next to the wording Call in the further menu that appears and, once you have received an answer from the person you are calling, press the key merge visible on the phone call screen.
Instead, if it is your intention to record an incoming call, you have to proceed in this other way: answer the phone call as you usually do, open REKK, press on purple circular button with microphone located at the top and touch the button merge that you find on the app screen.
When necessary, you can then listen to the recordings of the calls made by accessing the section Logs of the app and selecting the conversation of your interest from the list. If you then want to share the resulting audio file, transcribe it or add you want to add annotations, click onshare icon that you find on the next screen and select the option you prefer.
Other apps to record iPhone phone calls
