Logotype Creator
The first online service I suggest you contact in order to create a logo is Logotype Creator. It is a free web tool that automatically generates abstract logos that can then be customized directly in the browser before downloading them to your computer.
If you want to learn how to create a logo, then connect to the Logotype Creator website by clicking here, click on the button Create logo now that you find in the center of the screen, type the name of the company (or project) for which you intend to create the logo in the text field Company Name which is on the right and click on button Orange placed next to it.
After a few seconds of waiting, a series of logos automatically generated by the site will appear. Now, you have to choose the one you like best by clicking on it. But be careful because only those with the wording Free at the top right they can be downloaded for free, the others have to be paid to get them.
Once you've made your choice, wait for the new web page containing your logo and editor to load to make any changes you want. Then use the card Text and the options attached to it to insert and / or modify the texts present in the logo; use the card Logo shape and the related options to make changes of various kinds to the image used for the logo; by clicking on the tab instead Gallery you can change the image used to create the logo; by clicking on the tab Settings you can modify the logo by changing its size, position and background. You can also intervene on the various elements that make up the logo by selecting them directly from the preview image of the same, the relative editing tab will open automatically.
When you are done with create a logo with Logotype Creator and you are satisfied with the result, first click on the green button Save this logo which is located at the top right, register for the service by filling in the appropriate forms attached to it that is shown on the screen or using your Facebook or Google account by clicking on the appropriate buttons and, to finish, first click on the button Download placed under the logo preview, then on PNG download o JPG download depending on the format in which you intend to download your reaction on the computer and then on the button Download green color.
The logo you created will then be downloaded to your computer. If you haven't made any changes to your web browser's default settings, you'll find it in the folder Download.
Remember that free logos are not unique and therefore cannot be used for commercial activities.
LogoGarden
Did the service to create a logo that I have already proposed to you not be able to attract your attention in a particular way? No? Well, then you might want to try taking a look at LogoGarden. This is another free online service that allows you to design logos directly online starting from ready-to-use symbols. It only allows you to download a low resolution version delego that is created but for small projects it is more than enough.
To use it, click here so that you can immediately connect to the LogoGardern home, then click on the yellow button Customize my logo design now present to the center.
At this point you will be shown the editor of the service through which you can start creating a logo. Using it is quite simple, now I'll explain immediately how to do it.
First of all, select the category of belonging of the symbol you intend to use for the creation of your logo. To select the category, click on the menu Select category placed at the top and choose the one that attracts your attention the most. You can choose between Computer + Internet, Automotive, Health + Nutrition (health), Sport + Fitness and many other sectors. Alternatively, use the receipt field above by typing the reference keyword of the symbol of your interest and presses the button Submit present on the keyboard.
Now select the symbol you intend to use by choosing it from the list on the left and then customize the appearance by adding some writings to it (eg your name). To change the color or size of the symbol, click on it and use the mouse to enlarge / reduce / rotate it or the palette located at the top left to change its color.
By clicking on the button in the shape of Magic wand and placing the check mark next to the items Shine (glitter), Shadow (shadow), Reflect (reflection) e distress (scratch effect) you can apply various special effects to the selected symbols and writings while clicking on the button depicting one shield and choosing one of the symbols placed under the wording Symbol effects you can embed the logo in various shapes: circle, rectangle and so on.
To add new lettering to the logo, click on the button Add text located at the top left. By clicking on the menu located under the item Font and using the command Size you can set the writing font to use and the size of the text, while through the button Shape text you can create texts with geometric shapes. The menu Spacing instead it allows you to set the text spacing while the buttons "B" e "I" they allow you to apply / remove bold and italic formatting respectively.
To remove an element added to the editor, just select it and press on x present in the upper right part of the selection rectangle of the same. Alternatively, you can use the appropriate commands to cancel the execution of the various changes located at the top left.
When you are done creating your logo, click on the button Save & download your logo located at the top right, type your e-mail address in the field displayed on the screen and then click on the button Save my logo. Now press on the link Download attached to the new Web page that is shown to you and, finally, presses on the link here.
Once this is done, the logo you created will be downloaded to your computer, directly in the folder Download (if you have not made any changes to the default settings of the web browser) and in JPG format.
Software to create a logo
Illustrator, Photoshop and GIMP
Instead of using the online services that I have proposed to you in the previous lines, would you like to create a logo using special programs directly on your computer? Also with GIMP, the totally free alternative to the Adobe photo editing program, you can create a well-made logo using the special tools that the software makes available to its users. I warn you: creating a logo with Illustrator, Photoshop or GIMP is much more complicated than what is possible using Web services used for the purpose but by putting a minimum of attention and determination I am sure that you will still be able to create a noteworthy logo.
Other software
As an alternative to the aforementioned Adobe Illustrator, you can try to create a logo with other software as well. Which? Well, the ones you find indicated in my tutorial programs for creating logos and in my guide programs for logos.
There are several: some free, others for a fee; some of a more professional nature, others easily usable even by novice users; still others are instead perfect to be exploited by those who belong to a category, so to speak, intermediate. Choose what you think can do the most for you and immediately start using it to set up your creation.
