Publisher (Windows)
A delle prime soluzioni che ti consiglio di provare per create a free photo album è Publisher. I know, the program is part of Microsoft's Office suite (which is not free), but if you remember correctly I have already explained to you how to download and try the Office suite for free in another tutorial that I invite you to read.
I recommend that you use Publisher to create photo albums because it is a perfect tool for this kind of work, thanks also to the numerous free templates that you can download and use within the latter. To use the free online templates available for Publisher, first launch the program on your computer, type "Photo album" in search bar located at the top and click on the icon of magnifying glass to start the search for the models in question.
Now, find the model that's right for you (ex. Beach holidays photo album, Baby photo album - Classic, Winter holiday album, etc.), click on it, wait for the download to complete and, once it is open, replace the example images with the photos you want to add to the album. Then customize the sample text and all the other graphics inserted by default in the template, to make the album as original as possible.
As with all programs in the Office suite, Publisher's tools are enclosed in a few tabs: in the tab Home, all the useful tools are present for inserting images, formatting text, etc .; in the card Inserisci there are tools with which to insert shapes, images, borders, decorative objects and other elements; in the card Page structureinstead, there are options related to modifying the page structure, such as its size, orientation, background, and so on.
As soon as you have finished making your photo album and are satisfied with your work, save it by selecting the item Save with name from the menu Fillet and, finally, choose the format in which to save the file and its destination folder.
Photo Album 2 Free (macOS)
You use a Mac? If so, you can try Photo Album 2 Free: a semi-free application that allows you to create photo albums in a very simple way. I define this solution as semi-free because, although you can download and use it for free, you need to make in-app purchases (starting from € 5,49) to take advantage of all the available themes. In addition, to print your albums and to import them in PDF format, you need to purchase the full version of the application, which costs 16,99 euros.
To download Photo Album 2 Free on your Mac, connected to the Mac App Store page for the program in question, click on the button See in the Mac App Store and then complete the download by pressing the button Get / Install the app.
After downloading and launching Photo Album 2 Free, click the button Create New Account and follow the instructions that appear on the screen to create your free account. Please indicate yours email in the appropriate text field, type the code you see in the image in the text field Enter code e pulsing sul pulsating Create.
Within a few seconds, you will receive the login data to access the service to the e-mail address you provided earlier. Therefore, press the button Log in and log in with the access data you received. Once logged in, you will be shown a welcome message: click on the button start and follow the interactive tutorial that will allow you to become more familiar with Photo Album.
Now, in the main window of Photo Album, select one of the free themes among those proposed (eg. White Theme, Classic Theme, etc.) and drag the photos you want to insert in the project into the album pages (replacing them with the example images).
To save your project, select the item Save from the menu Fillet And that's it. I remind you that, to export the album and to print it, you need to purchase the full version of Photo Album, which costs 16,99 euros.
Canva (Online / Android / iOS)
Do you want to create a free photo album directly online, without downloading any software on your PC? Fortunately for you, there are various online services that can be used for this purpose, including canva. If you have never heard of it, it is a free service (also available in the form of an app for Android and iOS) that allows you to create various graphic works after free registration.
To use Canva, click here, so as to connect to the page relating to the creation of photo books and then press the green button Start creating a photo book. On the page that opens, select one of the options placed in the box First time on Canva? Subscribe!, in such a way as to indicate the reason why you want to use the service, and then register through yours email address, your account Google or your account Facebook.
Once logged in, select one of the free templates located on the left, to start creating the photo album and, in the menu that opens, select the model to apply to the first page (the album cover).
To upload photos to add to the album, click on the entry Uploads located on the left, click on the green button Upload your images and upload the ones you plan to use for your photo book. Then drag each image to the point of the album you prefer and that's it.
After uploading the photos that will make up your photo album, customize it by changing the background, the sample text and the graphic elements present in the project using the options you see on the left: Elements, to add shapes, frames, illustrations, icons and so on to the project; Text, to add text or Background, to change its background color.
To add new pages, instead, click on the button (+) Add new page, presses on the card layout located on the left and then select the template to apply to it. All you have to do is repeat the steps I indicated in the previous lines for all the pages of your album, so as to complete it with the photos you uploaded to Canva, and that's it.
When you are satisfied with your work, download the photo album by clicking on the button Download located at the top and then selecting one of the formats available for download: JPG, PNG o PDF.
Flip Snack (Online)
Another online service that I suggest you try to create online photo albums is FlipSnack. It allows you to create digital photo books that you can also browse online, ideal if you don't intend to print them. FlipSnack is a freemium solution: the free version of the service allows you to create flipbooks of no more than 15 pages to which a watermark is applied. To break down these limits it is necessary to subscribe to one of the Premium subscription plans, starting from 12 euros per month.
To use it, connected to the FlipSnack page relating to the creation of photo albums, press the button Create a digital photo album and register for the service using your account Google o Facebook or yours email address.
As soon as you have registered with FlipSnack, drag the JPG files you want to use for composing the digital photo book into thehatched area located in the center of the page (or click the button Upload files and upload the files you want to insert in the project) and then press the button Next located at the bottom right.
On the page that opens, select one of the options in the drop-down menu Background Color, so as to choose the background color to apply to the project and then press the button Next located at the bottom left to continue.
If you wish, through the sidebar on the left, you can set a color to be applied as a background, enable some functions (such as those that allow you to browse the magazine in full screen and set the PDF download, the latter available only for users Premium). You can also click on the entry Editor present below and apply some changes such as adding links, buttons and so on.
Finally, enter the data relating to the file created by filling in the text fields Title, Description e Category, pig sul sul bottone Publish now to publish your digital photo book online to browse and then click on the items Share on social to share it on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks or press the option Embed, so you get the code that you can copy and paste onto your personal website.
